Your Role and Responsibilities

As Product Manager for IBM Cognos Analytics - get ready to lead cross organization IBMers and engage Prospects, Customers, and Business Partners to make a positive impact in the direction of this great product. The 'who's who' of global companies depend on IBM Cognos Analytics for Business Intelligence Reporting, Visualization, Dashboarding and Modeling.

IBM Cognos Analytics is on the move, and we need your help! Cognos Analytics, can be deployed on IBM Cloud in either a Hosted or Multi Tenant platform. We also have a Digital Try & Buy channel for low touch engagement of potential customers - giving them a first-class experience with our product and enabling a self-service purchase and implementation. We are developing strategic enhancements to serve the growing demands of locally installed industry giants.

Communication skills are paramount to being successful in this role. We listen carefully to a passionate User Community, apply our industry knowledge, and make good decisions to drive our Engineering investments. Then we spread the word, evangelizing new features, training our Sales team and Business Partners, and diligently partnering with our customers to make them successful.

Our solution demands your deep technical and deft User Experience skills. Our core technology is complex with multiple components that help solve complex business applications. Understanding key components of business intelligence – data collection, data storage, data analysis, AI, and data reporting – as well as connectivity and user experience are paramount. You need to become an expert across the board!

We value Cognos Analytics product experience, as a Business Partner implementing our solution, or as a Customer having hands-on experience consuming our solutions. We also value experience with other solutions in our space such as PowerBI or Tableau.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Willingness for perform periodic domestic and international travel
• Proven organizational skills.
• Demonstrated presentation skills.
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development Processes such as Aha!, Jira, Slack, Mural, and InVision.

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

• Business/finance experience or MBA is an asset
• Sales execution focus, progressing from suspect, to prospect, to customer. Feature definition based on customer problems vs 'tech features'
• Experience with 'Design thinking' and building highly engaging and intuitive software.
• Previous experience leading teams by influence
• Experience with profitability applications, predictive planning, decision optimization, business intelligence, or AI Applications.
• Experienced GTM professional in data analysis space, both SaaS and On-Premise
• Deep market understanding from a capability as well as competitive perspective. Beyond the major players like Microsoft, but many mid-market and EU based competitors
