Astellas Pharma Canada is currently searching for a Business Solutions & Analytics Manager reporting to the Director, Operational Excellence. This is a head office role located in Markham, Ontario.

Description

The Business Solutions & Analytics Manager performs a number of functions that drive Operational Excellence within Astellas Canada (“APCA”). This position takes a leadership role in executing key initiatives such CRM Management, Commercial Data Enablement and Salesforce Effectiveness. This role partners with all commercial departments to drive commercial success.


Essential Job Duties

  • Co-lead with internal sales and finance partners on territory-level forecasting and quota development.
  • Support the development and output of Incentive Compensation Plans (ICP) for all APCA sales teams.
  • Partnering with local sales leadership, this individual will be responsible for the management of local sales reporting, metrics and dashboards; including standardization and automation. This includes being the primary contact with any consultants and vendors involved in these activities.
  • Lead the development of all ad-hoc sales analyses and data visualizations.
  • Management of Sales Execution Plan (SEP) reporting.
  • Local CRM (Veeva) ownership and management, including but not limited to: execution of local CRM enhancements, working with internal partners to ensure alignment, and CRM Data management and reporting.
  • Single point of contact for CRM (Veeva) strategic support. This includes working with internal local partners as well as global/regional partners and offshore development teams.
  • Oversight of all local scheduled reporting as well as Ad Hoc reporting.
  • Responsible for all local sales data management and data hygiene.
  • Business insights lead for assigned brand(s)/business unit. This includes proactively conducting rigorous analytics to uncover new business opportunities and insights as well as establishing appropriate benchmarks in order to support the development of actionable strategic and tactical recommendations based on findings.

Required Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge and cross-functional experience in data modeling and architecture, and associated KPIs and dashboards.
  • University-level degree in a business-related field.
  • Excellent project management skills and adept at multi-tasking and prioritization
  • Proficient in systems administration, configuration, and function.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees including senior management.
  • Strong working knowledge of IQVIA data sources, including but not limited to TSA/TCR, CompuScript, Xponent, and CD&H.
  • Creating business cases; building plans and scenarios.
  • Inquisitive, curious and innovative. Able to think outside the box and develop curiosity into innovation.
  • Root cause modeling and solving.
  • Politically astute, able to challenge respectively and constructively.
  • Impactful, collaborative individual, building and maintaining credibility with all stakeholders, able to deliver results through influence and persuasion.
  • Working knowledge of various statistical modeling techniques and their application within complex analytical projects, e.g., regression modeling, promotion response modeling, ROI etc.
  • Extensive computer proficiency with desktop software in a Windows environment including prioritization, Excel, MS Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven success working in a cross-functional and matrixed environment.
  • 3-5 years of analytical experience including data analysis and reporting – preferably in the pharmaceutical space.
  • Strong working knowledge of VEEVA CRM and/or Salesforce.
  • Competent and confident at holding others to account.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Masters level degree in business, mathematics, or life sciences.
