As part of the Sales Organization/Team this position will assist in the development and execution of the Public Sector GO TO MARKET strategies. The Business Development Sales Solutions Specialist will work in conjunction with Sales management team to support a collaborative approach engaging all stakeholders in the execution of assignments using a skill set that includes effective communication; project management; competitive and customer profiling; data collection and analysis; and demand generation design and deployment (programs, tools and collateral).
The co-op student will either focus on researching, collecting data and analyzing internal processes to improve strategies. Or they will focus on externally researching the public sector industry and improving strategies.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
As a member in this area of the Sales Management Team the Business Development Sales Solutions Specialist:
  • Provide on-site support for various sales and corporate events;
  • Supports the Sales Managers to drive market demand for an assigned portfolio of Ricoh Services by helping to execute on a developed and approved Go To Market Strategy;
  • Proactively works closely with Marketing, Sales and Business units to develop sales tools and resources, and communications that create demand and drive sales;
  • Collaborates with all Stakeholders (cross-functionally) to design and implement required plans and processes to execute marketing activities;
  • Assist with other marketing activities and assuming additional responsibilities as required
  • Works with Market Analysts and other resources to collect competitive and customer intelligence in order to identify issues/opportunities to drive demand for Ricoh Services;
  • Provides Support for Sales Channels as required;
Education And Experience
  • Have excellent problem solving skills and great work ethic;
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, proactively managing issues and challenges, while promoting open communication, team work and contributing to a positive work environment;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited learning institution in pursuit of a business related degree. Specialization in marketing, commerce, strategy and/or entrepreneurship preferred;
  • Possesses a professional demeanor.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks through to completion under own initiative;
