Analyst (Analytics & Business Solutions)

We are looking to recruit an Analyst, to join our Business Intelligence and Analytics team on a full-time, temporary basis, ending June 28, 2024. The successful candidate will participate in all stages of development of dashboards and data-science applications from concept through to development and delivery. The Analyst will support management and Sr. team members as they work with the organization to maintain effective financial and operational management through analytics. The Analyst will support by providing and documenting key inputs, creating dashboards and performing adhoc analysis of financial, labour, operational and other types of data.
Role Accountabilities And Competencies Required
Strategic Direction

• The Analyst provides key input and is involved in strategic initiatives, such as driving cost savings, utilization/optimization and more.
• The Analyst supports management/team members and provides key input into transformative change and business development/cases.
• The Analyst will have a basic understanding of the applicable external environment as it pertains to them and their position (i.e. MOH, LHIN)

Leadership

• The Analyst will be an operational contact for data and dashboards in their assigned area for staff across the organization.
• The Analyst will be expected to work towards annual goals and objectives under the guidance of their leader.

People

• The Analyst will be responsible for providing recommendations & solutions to direct management with focused scope impacts.
• The Analyst will be responsible for leading local stakeholders through change (i.e. peers, team members, VP Finance Portfolio).
• The Analyst will be responsible for frequent communication to peers & direct management.
• The Analyst will be engaged in focused collaboration with individuals within VP Finance Portfolio.

Business Skills

• The Analyst will perform adhoc analysis and may track and measure KPIs as required
• The Analyst will have a basic understanding of available data structures relevant to their assigned area.
• The Analyst will provide key input for ad hoc analysis and KPI management through the creation of dashboards (we use Tableau).
• The Analyst will be responsible for providing input into business processes (i.e. workflows, processes, control frameworks, policies & procedures).

Professional Skills

• The Analyst will be responsible for providing key insight/inputs, utilizing information, policies, plans, processes, control frameworks, operating activity etc. as it pertains to appropriate aspects of Operations.

The Analyst Role Requires The Following

• Education – at least one of the following:
• Financial, Labour, Operational and other systems
• Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
• OR the equivalent to the above (i.e. work experience)
• Soft Skill Experience – 0-3 years of experience in each of the following:
• Undergraduate degree
• Communication Skills – both formal (i.e. presentations, board reports, executive overviews/narratives) and informal
• Interpersonal Skills
• Collaboration/Team Work
• Work Experience – 0-3 years of relevant experience
• Informal leadership, coaching and leaderships
• Data modeling
• Specialized Skills – 0-3 years of experience in each of the following:
• Data visualization (we use Tableau)

Schedule Work Hours
Monday – Friday, Days; with willingness to be flexible to suit organizational demands. This is a temporary position until June 28, 2024.
