Director of Franchisee Recruitment and Projects – Retail
Reports to: Vice President
Location: Vancouver, BC or Toronto, ON
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Director of Franchisee Recruitment and Projects to join the COBS Bread team. Reporting to the Vice President, this role will develop and drive strategies for franchise recruitment and projects with the goal to attract more franchisees and build new and refurbished bakeries across Canada. Leading a team of professionals, the Director of Franchisee Recruitment and Projects will interact with multiple stakeholders across COBS Bread to deliver best in class practices that support the company’s goal of setting the new standard in franchising.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Oversee all aspects of the recruitment and sale of business process for internal and external Franchisee candidates.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Develop, communicate, manage and implement Franchise growth strategy and capital cost spend on behalf of our Franchisees
  • Develop relevant franchise strategy based on market insights and communicate research with relevant stakeholders
  • Oversee financial management of departmental budget
  • Liaise with the Product and Operation Teams to identify potential opportunities for improvement in design practicality and cost savings
  • Accelerate the growth of the business by increasing the pipeline of trained franchisees to become multi-site owners
  • Develop and manage key marketing strategies for recruiting franchisees
Requirements
What You Bring to the Table
  • 5+ years senior management experience overseeing franchise recruitment and project management teams
  • Excellent presentation skills to various audience and mediums
  • Proven ability to manage multi-disciplined team of professionals across all elements of the franchise recruitment and projects areas
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Knowledge of Franchising and construction in retail industry is essential - exposure to the restaurant sector is an asset
  • High-level problem-solving skills, tact, and diplomacy
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, manage conflict and negotiate
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel occasionally as required
  • Demonstrated experience of driving strategy for a franchise business or equivalent and successfully recruiting franchisees
