Shopify Project Manager - Remote In Canada - Must Have Agency Experience

We are looking for a professional with relevant experience to join our team as a Project Manager, Producer, or Product Manager. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of experience in the digital agency sector.

As part of the role, you will work closely with our design and development team, as well as our clients, to ensure that projects are planned, executed, and delivered within the specified time frame, scope, and budget.

You will collaborate with cross-functional team members in areas such as strategy, UX/UI design, and development.

Responsibilities

• Create project estimates and statements of work.
• Regularly collaborate and communicate with internal team leads regarding project resourcing, progress, and challenges.
• Lead discussions to gather, refine, and define project requirements related to business, content, users, technology, and ecommerce.
• Take charge of planning operational aspects for new ecommerce websites.
• Keep all stakeholders informed about project activities, milestones, costs, and risks throughout the process.
• Manage day-to-day operations of projects, including documentation, scope management, client communications, and internal team support.
• Ensure the team is not overloaded with project tasks and has the necessary resources to work efficiently.
• Obtain necessary approvals at various stages of strategy, creative work, and technical production.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager, Product Manager, or Producer in a digital agency environment.
• Familiarity with ecommerce platforms, preferably Shopify/Shopify Plus, and understanding of related technical considerations.
• Experience managing medium-to-large scale website projects or digital products.
• Ability to independently manage projects from planning to completion.
• Experience working in an agile environment, including standups, sprints, story pointing, etc.
• Relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Jira) and creating project plans and timelines using Google Suite.
• Ability to contribute to strategy discussions and provide unique perspectives to solve complex problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including conducting meetings and client presentations.
• Self-motivated and ambitious, with a desire to improve work processes.

Bonus Points (not Essential)

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
• Understanding of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) fundamentals.
• PMP Certification.
