Senior Sales Account Manager

Our client is a leading produce distributor, serving retail, wholesale and food service customers both conventional and organic fresh fruit and vegetables from across the globe. As a result of growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sales Account Manager to join them and further develop this success by advancing revenue growth from the established major retail, wholesale, and food service accounts across Canada.
Main roles and responsibilities:
- Identify new prospects for business development
- Provide excellent customer service and use intuition and experience to provide knowledge-based solutions to customers
- Travel for face to face meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships
- Consistently monitor and analyse market trends and competitor activity
- Build and maintain effective relationships with major retail accounts throughout Canada
In order to be considered for this position you must possess the following:
- 3-5 years of fresh produce experience selling to retail and wholesale customers
- Proven success in sales, customer relations, meeting quotas, and closing deals
- Excellent commercial and financial awareness
- Great communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong business development and account management experience with major retailers and wholesalers such as Loblaws, Sobeys, Metro, and Sysco
- Exceptional computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Self motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Results orientated
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Creative problem solver who can identify solutions quickly
