Senior Manager, Partnership Strategy & Development



What is the opportunity?


In this role, you will be responsible for building the business rationale and industry view of key partnerships for RBC to develop mutually beneficial value to our collective clients and customers. This is a highly collaborative role working across LOBs enterprise wide (i.e. Cards, Loyalty, Personal and Commercial business lines). You will be responsible for actively communicating and engaging key stakeholders and executives to ensure alignment, engagement, and awareness of opportunities for partnership integration and growth. You will also support the team to develop a best in class partner experience and solidify the Team and RBC’s reputations as a leader in the loyalty space.


What will you do?


  • Support work to design relevant and insightful partner materials including monthly reports, post campaign analysis and strategic roadmaps
  • Accountable for outlining core business rational for existing and new partnership opportunities leveraging both internal and external sources (ie. RBC first party data analytics, IBIS reporting, Market Share/Earnings Annual Reports etc.)
  • Establish strong relationships and cadences with key partner contacts and internal product leads in LOB’s to proactively identify new opportunities to deepen and extend partnership across LOB and broader enterprise
  • Working with executive leadership and core internal cross functional business teams to develop a sound external facing partner proposal that highlights the benefits of a partnership with RBC (Enterprise wide or Loyalty Framework)
  • Support quarterly business reviews through market share analysis and industry overviews for Enterprise Partnerships supporting to drive engagement, identify new opportunities for integration and foster best in class partnership
  • Support in development and implementation of Partner Services practice management framework, including industry best practices and standards, guides, activities, and behaviors to ensure RBC is seen as the best in class organization to partner and work with, internally and externally
  • Establish ongoing touchpoints with key stakeholders and functional partners to ensure continuing alignment of partnership activities and key business strategies


What do you need to succeed?


Must-have:


  • University degree & minimum of 5+ years of consulting experience within a large enterprise firm
  • Strong consultative skillset and financial acumen and ability to translate via above average PowerPoint skills
  • Strong ability to work in a collaborative, supportive way in cross-functional teams and across the organization while being able to adapt in ambiguous, agile and rapidly changing environments


Nice-to-have


  • Financial designations such as CFA, CPA
  • Strong communication, storytelling and presentation skills
  • Project management experience including cross functional navigation
  • Comfortable with innovation and new technologies
