Reporting to the President & Vice-Chancellor, the Provost and Vice-President, Academic (VPA) is the chief academic officer of the University and provides strategic direction and leadership for the academic mission of the university including the planning and development of academic programs, faculty complement and development, strategic enrolment, student success, and academic partnerships, among other areas. As an integral member of UNB’s executive leadership team, the Provost and VPA provides direction to university-wide strategic planning and supports the development and implementation of the University’s Strategic Plan: UNB Toward 2030.
UNB is seeking a Provost and VPA who will be a visible leader, fostering a culture of excellence in teaching, student success, enrolment growth and program innovation. In close collaboration with other members of the senior leadership team, the Provost and Vice-President, Academic will assist in fostering a culture of academic excellence across the University. The portfolio is broad in scope and includes community engagement expectations and responsibilities.
As the ideal candidate, you are an accomplished academic leader with broad experience in higher education, who can build on UNB’s legacy while providing vision and leadership to fulfill the University’s academic mission. Your passion for excellence comes through in your record of establishing innovative programs and approaches that are responsive to the diverse and changing needs of learners.
