Production Team Lead Jobs

Responsibilities

As a Team Leader, it is your responsibility to supervise all staff, actively monitor their productivity levels and ensure they are completing tasks effectively. You should proactively provide support and guidance to employees on priorities and expectations and develop respectful relationships with team members. Providing positive and constructive feedback on how best to approach their work is also essential, as well as ensuring all production staff have received appropriate training.

In terms of job fulfillment and production supervision, you should ensure all customer orders are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Conducting quality checks to ensure work meets quality standards is important, as well as providing updates and reports at the end of a shift on what work was completed and what priorities are needed for the next shift. Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized production facility and adhering to safety standards outlined in the Health & Safety Program is also crucial.

As a strategic leader, you should participate in strategic resource scheduling to ensure customer targets are achieved. Contribute ideas and solutions on how the company can best achieve SLAs, production performance targets, and KPI measures. Sharing ideas and recommendations on potential process improvements to improve quality, efficiency, profitability, and accuracy of customer jobs is also vital. Work in partnership with Production Supervisors/Managers to assess existing equipment capabilities and make recommendations as to improvements or needs to enhance production.
