The Role

The Audio Team Lead ensures members of his/her team work together towards a common goal. He/she will collaborate with the Audio Director to provide a framework to produce audio elements. He/she will also establish and foster a creative and motivating work environment for their team. The ideal candidate for this role is recognized for his/her sense of responsibility, his/her leadership and ability to set objectives and deliver results. He/she has the necessary background and experience to oversee the work of the artists in their team, and to support them in their daily tasks.

In this role you will :

• Work with the Producers to assess the project development status and risks;
• Use your audio skills and experience to provide a framework for the development of audio assets, and ensure they are in line with the artistic vision;
• Understand the pipeline and tools;
• Follow up on the audio designers’ work and development of their professional skills;
• Manage the development and implementation of audio assets according to schedules and production constraints;
• Monitor ongoing tasks;
• Take charge of a team of sound designers for one specific project;
• Help the Audio Director in preparing and managing the audio budget according to the project’s needs.

What we're looking for :

• Ability to think strategically and find solutions to problems;
• Knowledge of the most common audio software used for video game production;
• Good command of English and French.
• Mixing experience (stereo and multi-channel) a plus;
• Ability to manage priorities;
• Good knowledge of Reaper and/or Pro Tools;
• 7 years of experience in video game development;
• Good knowledge of the MS Office suite;
• Previous experience as a Lead on a AAA production or 3 years’ experience as a Lead on other types of projects;
• Production experience with Unreal 4 and Wwise 2021 required;
• Interest in the latest software and new technologies used in audio;
