Finance Services are currently looking to staff the Manager, Financial Operations position (ADG-B).
As the Manager, Financial Operations (House Administration / House Officers portfolio) you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and continuous renewal of proactive, strategic and timely accounting operation services to the House Administration, House Officers and their staff. These services include processing financial transactions and providing strategic financial advice related to revenues, expenditures, assets and liabilities, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance of financial information with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, the Financial Accountability Framework, and the policies of the House. Assuming a key internal control role, ensures the appropriate verification of House expenditures and the implementation of controls to ensure the integrity and security of financial data in the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers and Members’ Travel Points System.
As the functional authority for corporate revenue and expenditure processing for the House of Commons, you will oversee the processing and analysis of financial data and documents, and recommend improvements to related policies, guidelines, systems and internal controls; ensure appropriate delegation of financial authority for House Administration and House Officers.

Education:
- Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree, in a field such as finance, commerce or business administration.
Experience:
- Experience in the application and interpretation of the legislative instruments, rules, policies, guidelines, allowances, privileges, manuals, etc.;
- Experience in change management and participating in the leadership of cultural shifts and transitions;
- Experience in creating and fostering a client-focused environment that supports the delivery of high-quality financial operations/services.
- Experience in resolving complex problems and issues related to accounting operations;
