Role Overview
The Senior Manager of Operations is responsible for managing full Business Operations and Project Management here at BoomerangFX. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, overseeing all functional departments and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the organization.
This role is also responsible for directly supporting the CEO in corporate strategy, high level project management, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across the organization and efficient functioning of the executive office.
The successful candidate is a thought partner with an outstanding ability to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced professional environment. They will have a proven track record in independently managing multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines, while maintaining and adhering to operational processes and internal policies that are essential and central to this position and future needs of the organization.
This position is 100% on-site in Mississauga (Financial Drive).
Scope of Duties
- Support the CEO in preparation for corporate meetings, board meetings and meetings with key external stakeholders, including customers, policy makers, strategic partners, and financiers.
- Develop effective working relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
- Execute vendor management activities, including ensuring legal requirements are met and coordinating contract negotiation and processing
- Suggest and develop efficient and effective processes to improve/enhance ongoing projects, reporting processes and executive functions
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and other materials to support the CEO and other executives in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Prepare and manage internal and external communications on behalf of CEO to drive key messages and narratives established by the CEO
- Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary
- Plan, track, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
- Partner with Human Resources to lead the team in recruitment and administrative efforts that establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
- Proactive stakeholder management and alignment to achieve the organizational vision by collaborating, influencing and partnering with many important internal and stakeholders
- Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and mentoring to our internal teams in managing day-to-day operational requirements
What you bring
- Experience in budgeting and proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience in strategy or operations role as well as an in-depth knowledge of Business Operations
- Proven experience advising and coaching top executives on strategic, organizational, and communications matters
- Hold an entrepreneurial mindset to take on a wide range of special projects delegated by the CEO or executive team
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business or related field or equivalent job experience
- An impactful leader with over 5 years professional experience leading teams of >50 employees in a high growth SaaS organization.
- Experience creating and managing spreadsheets and performing advanced excel functions
- Excellent leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and on budget.
- Demonstrated ability in building successful teams and achieving results.
