POSITION TITLE: Senior Financial Analyst, Consumer Group
REPORTS TO: Finance Manager – Consumer Group
DEPARTMENT: Finance
LOCATION: Markham, ON
BAND LEVEL: 4
Position Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, Consumer Group, this dynamic individual will be responsible for the financial analysis and sales reporting for their assigned business unit. The Senior Financial Analyst role will be required to interact with and build strong relationships with all areas and levels within the Consumer organization including Sales, Marketing & Operations.
What you will do
In this position, the Senior Financial Analyst will:

• Monthly forecasting and analysis of SG&A
• Drive analysis around volume, price, mix, customer promotions and customer P&Ls including monthly report out to Sales and Marketing team
• Preparation and entry of journal entries
• Connect with the US Finance communicating financial results and weekly sales forecast
• Ad hoc reporting as required
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing teams to ensure initiatives are properly accounted for and any variances are addressed

What you have done

• 3+ years’ experience in Accounting/Finance or related field
• CPA certification (or near completion)
• Familiarity with Power BI, Oracle, SAP and Business Warehouse is an asset
• Post-Secondary education in Accounting or related field
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (advanced functions ie. Pivot Tables)
• Minimal travel required
