What You’ll Do

It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

• Partners with the business to provide support materials to enhance internal decision making.
• Partner with other members of the Finance team to ensure consistency and integrity of financial data and processes.
• Conducts financial analysis on business strategies and tactics.
• Create, maintain, and distribute reports to senior management that provide a clear understanding of business performance and KPIs.
• Coordinates activities to ensure strong financial data governance across TJXC, ensuring accuracy of all reporting.
• Partners and leads ad-hoc projects as required.
• Work cross-functionally supporting Manager with ad-hoc financial analysis and modelling that is consistent with TJX methodology.
• This position will be responsible for conducting financial and business analysis on an assigned set of projects and initiatives, as well as building customized reporting and data models to support business decision making.
• Develop understanding of business KPIs to present business insights and financial decisions.
• Collaborate with the BP&A team and Business Partners to create and identify new areas of potential business analysis.

What You’ll Need

To begin your career with us, we require the following:

• Post-Secondary Education in a related field (e.g. Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or other quantitative disciplines).
• Minimum 3 - 4 years of experience in analytics and big data.
• Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Having obtained or working towards, business related designation (CPA, CFA, MBA).
• Investigative seeker with a passion for quantitative analysis and desire to continually add value and help achieve business results
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel (efficient and clean presentation of data, knowledge of efficient lookup, filtering functions). Knowledge of VBA, Oracle, and TM1 would be an asset.
• Experience creating information dashboards; proven ability working with Power BI and DAX is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a retail organization is an asset.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a detail-oriented, multi-project environment while meeting tight and fixed deadlines. Capabilities such as estimating time required to complete projects; follow up on assignments and keep appropriate team members aware of progress.
