About The Project Delivery Group


This is an exciting time for the Project Delivery Profession within GLD.


Big changes are happening under the newly appointed Deputy Director Head of Profession (Project Delivery). GLD is seeking to transform the way it coordinates investment in programmes and projects, along with making a step change in capability, to ensure successful delivery, and most significantly, benefits realisation.

Anne-Marie says “Thanks for your interest in joining the Project Delivery team here at GLD. We are a centralised team of Project Delivery professionals, established to support the delivery of GLDs strategic change projects.


Primarily a legal department, we are looking for someone who can build relationships across multidisciplinary teams who have different levels of project delivery capability. Key to this role is the ability to facilitate, communicate and lead on defining processes - following business analysis standards - to deliver strategic outcomes.

The Senior Business Analyst is primarily responsible for establishing a new central function to understand and analyse user and business needs across the GLD Portfolio. The role will include recruiting and leading a team of Business Analysts and is the first step on the path towards developing a dedicated central business analysis and solution design function for GLD.


The role will involve working across a wide variety of projects to embed tried and tested frameworks and methodologies to ensure a standardised approach to business analysis.


You must be an experienced business analyst, confident leader, and self-starter with the ability to able to build a business analysis and solution design function from scratch.


Senior Business Analyst responsibilities include:


  • Leadership – Lead and manage a team of BA’s and coach & mentor colleagues on Business Analyst competencies.
  • Process modelling – Determine requirement for and develop, co-ordinate and agree sign-off of the ‘As-Is’ and To-Be’ business process work.
  • Requirement gathering – Co-ordinate requirement activities, their validation and sign-off ensuring that the needs of the key stakeholders are articulated determining value based on the context.
  • Facilitation – Liaise with business owners, senior lawyers, business users and technical teams to ensure business needs are translated into solutions.
  • Business solution design – Co-ordinate changes to ensure business systems, workflows and processes contribute to target operating model.
  • Impact analysis – Lead on ensuring that the potential consequences of a change are correctly identified that stakeholders have been identified and are part of the overall process and that benefits have been collated in response to the impact analysis.
  • Gap analysis – Co-ordinate and lead on the evaluation of requirements against the present state (where we are) and the target state (where we want to be) and identify opportunities to develop successful business requirements as well as cultivate stakeholder relationships needed to make the transition.

Interview
