Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have an opportunity for a full time Financial Analyst to support our Discount Merchandising department.

Here's Where You'll Be Focusing

• Work with the Business Process Optimization (continuous improvement) teams to identify opportunities and create efficiencies.
• Communicate with Merchandising Directors and Managers
• Communicate effectively with Finance managers and employees.
• Develop and manage various reports including SAP, CFIN and SAPBW
• Provide excellent level of customer service to all levels of the business
• Perform required administrative tasks which may include running SAP/SAPBW/CIS/CFIN reports, participating in meetings.
• Partners with Discount Merchandising Leadership in the development of sales and margin budgeting and weekly and quarterly forecasting.
• Translate results and data into recommendations; provide accurate and timely recommendations to management for decision making purposes by analyzing current and past trends of financials and KPI’s.
• Adhere to GAAP and CEO/CFO certifications.
• Assist in the development of business cases; build financial models to support business cases including revenue projections, profit calculations and scenario analysis.
• Special projects as assigned
• Develops key financial insights through ad-hoc reporting and analysis to help drive business performance.

• Proficient in Retail Math and Accounting
• An Undergraduate Degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
