Financial Analyst (Jr) Jobs

BWXT Medical Ltd is seeking a Financial Analyst (Jr) at our production facility located in Kanata, Ontario.

Position Summary:

This role reports to the Head of Finance, BWXT Medical Ltd. and ensures that financial statements are accurate and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and forecasting the company's financial performance.

Accountabilities:

• Contributes to the month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting process, including journal entries, performance analysis and other routine transactions.
• Supports ad-hoc requests from the Head of Finance BWXT Medical Ltd.
• Supports finance team in preparing annual business plans, quarterly forecasts and current view projections.
• Ensures compliance with SOX controls.
• Summarization of spend by project (capital/R&D), distribution of cost center reports, updating cost center forecasts, and compilation of product P&L's for both forecasts and actuals.
• Supports corporate finance group - including but not limited to assisting with cash forecasting, AR Aging, KPI reporting and capital forecasts.

Education and Experience:

• Experience working in the manufacturing industry is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills - both oral and written, and have the ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to deal with ambiguity and take initiative.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA designation or currently pursuing designation, and at least 1-year of hands-on experience as an accountant, financial analyst or similar role (or a combination of education and/or experience may be considered).
• Experience in Oracle financial systems, BPC or OneStream is an asset.
• Work with a high level of integrity.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
