Jr Estimator Jobs

Reporting to the Lead Estimator the responsibility of the Jr Estimator / Technician is to satisfy the sales and operations needs of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure client PO’s are consistent with our price packages and identify and correct any discrepancies.
• Downloading and organize specific colour selection packages for specific Builders and identify customer specific selections for each house.
• Build and upgrade builder packages – inclusive of specifications and costing/prices (keep up to date).
• Estimating of flooring type for both residential and commercial projects.
• Inputting all data for each individual project/house and make ready for the production team.
• Interact with home builder design teams to know standard selections as well as upgraded selections.
• Additional tasks to be provided by Business Improvement Specialist and President as required.
• Create model files for the different Builders and sites, specific to the particular trade for each Site/Builder (Ceramics, Harwood, Carpet etc.) along with their standard installation practices.

Requirements and Experience:

• Effective problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Estimating experience is considered a strong asset.
• Strong organization skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in the Construction industry with a post-secondary education in construction or related services.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• A positive self-starter with strong work ethic who can work well with others.
• Experience working in a busy environment with a “Can- Do” attitude.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
