Senior Financial Systems Analyst

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for supporting the financial systems used by the finance and accounting teams for any new enhancements, updates, and projects. They will support end-users by applying their technical knowledge of systems and accounting, working with stakeholders to ensure end-to-end processes and information are flowing efficiently and accurately. This role will report to the Manager, Financial Systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify areas of improvement within the processes and systems
• Responsible for supporting the ERP system for finance and accounting teams
• Maintain ongoing relationships and communication with IT for any troubleshooting in existing systems, new builds, and ensuring finance and accounting requirements are carried out and configured by IT as needed
• Support various projects including system implementation, enhancements, compliance including but not limited to requirement gathering, design, UAT testing, post go-live support/hypercare, training and documentation in an Agile environment.
• Support adjacent systems and processes such as EDI integration, Adaptive Financial Planning (AFP) integration, report development and maintenance, Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization tools, developing queries in SQL

Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications

• Experience in working with large ERP systems such as Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle
• Understanding of accounting and finance processes including day to day processes and month-end
• Experience with EDI integration
• 5 years of relevant experiences including project management, financial systems implementation
• Experience in developing and understanding internal controls and/or designing access & controls
• Experience working with FP&A reporting tools, AFP preferred
• Experience writing queries in SQL
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Information Systems or related field
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools, Tableau preferred
• Minimum 1+ year(s) accounting experience required

• Technical knowledge – ability to understand data flow between systems and tables and the finance impact to general ledger and reporting.
• Attention to detail – certain tests and issues need to be analyzed at the transactional level; candidate must be able to drill down to the details.
