Role: Industrial and Financial Specialist (IFS)

Duration: 6 Months (plus likely extension)

Location: Markham (Hybrid)

Our client, an energy solutions company is looking to hire an IFS Specialist on a 6-month contract located in Markham (Hybrid).

Reporting to Senior Manager, Data Strategy & Analytics, you will play a key role in a highly visible team within the organization to advance our business as we execute our data strategy. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a passion for using data to drive insights, presenting key learnings and delivering transformational outcomes to our business. We are looking for Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS) Specialist who will help us to implement and deliver robust automation solutions across various mod Field Service Management, ERP and EAM modules.

With an agile-mindset, you are obsessed with data quality and pragmatic algorithms, have a passion for understanding and integrating business semantics into technology solutions and enjoy learning our business and operations with a go-and-see mindset.

Your New Role

• Good understanding of Cloud and IFS On-prem hosted web services
• Working knowledge of Azure data platform, e.g., ADLS, Synapse, ADF, Databricks etc., and Azure Web Services
• Working knowledge of ETL tools associated with Business Intelligence Application Deployment Activities
• Familiarity with the development and deployment of distributed web application (.NET, DCOM) architecture
• Have a passion for understanding and integrating business semantics into technology solutions.
• Have an open mind and a knack to collaborate effectively across internal and external partners to further capitalize on data assets.
• Ability to understand the integrations between IFS Solutions and external systems for development and troubleshooting.
• Apply design- and system-thinking concepts with an agile mindset to create and deploy incremental, viable data products by leveraging tools available in-house and in the open-source ecosystems.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• 5+ years’ experience working with databases, warehouses, and data lakes preferably Azure SQL DB
• Experience in problem solving and analytical skills to develop creative, unique, and pragmatic approaches and solutions to address complex problems.
• 2+ years hands-on experience working in a Field Service Management related industry along with thorough knowledge of working with different Business Applications
• 5+ years of experience with Database management (MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle)
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working with the IFS Integration Systems
