Position: Industrial Engineering Specialist (Intern/Co-op) – Mississauga, ON

Location: 1880 Britannia Rd E., Mississauga, ON L4W 1J3

Reports to: Lean / Quality Manager

Job Status: Full-time; Internship / Co-op Program

Shift: 5 days a week Monday – Friday; 8am – 4:30pm

We are actively seeking an Industrial Engineering Specialist to build our Continuous Improvement team. The Position will report to the Lean Quality Manager at our Mississauga location. They will be working closely with the Lean Manager and Production Team to implement process improvements to improve our operational efficiency and optimize costs.

YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

• Lead projects to identify, analyze and improve work and process flow.
• Assist with development of 5S program and Standardization.
• Develop/maintain Standard Operating procedures.
• May be some occasional travel to other branches within the GTA.
• Working on process improvement initiatives to improve productivity.
• Working with AutoCAD to develop and optimize shop layouts.
• Work with leaders to help remove barriers that resist change.
• Performing Industrial Time Studies and interact with shop floor workers.

YOU NEED TO HAVE:

• Experience performing industrial time studies (considered an asset)
• Experience identifying process improvement, areas for optimization and cost reduction
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to travel to various shop locations within Ontario (considered an asset)
• Proficient with AutoCAD for design and Microsoft 365 Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
• Co-op Student or recent Graduate from a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering program
