Mechnical Engineering Technologist Jobs

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineering Technologist will work under the direction of the Director of Engineering and play a key role in completing and coordinating assigned projects from start to finish. You will work with the production, procurement, and other team members to ensure that all the required information has been provided and properly documented for final release.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To assist to ensure products are assembled and tested to meet the specifications of our customer and are within Good Engineering Practices (GEP) Design
• Assist purchasing to ensure that all purchased parts and material meet engineering requirements and specifications
• Process ECR’s, ECN’s, NCM’s and DVR’s
• Other duties as assigned
• Establish accurate BOM and drawings that meet the engineering department’s standards
• Assist in development of communication towers using design software (SAFI)
• Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and direct the integration of technical activities necessary to satisfy new product and ECR requirements
• Ensure all necessary product design documentation is created and maintained
• Pursue continuous improvement projects
• Resolve problems related to design, material, quality control, production processes and drawings
• Assist in the development of and maintenance of quality standards and procedures for the production and engineering department
• Resolve and provide support to customer technical inquiries
• Assist in building, planning, and testing new and existing products to specification
• Assist the procurement of tools required to allow production to manufacture product to specification

Follow standards and procedures for engineering and technical work performed in the department

● Continually look for better ways to perform daily activities

● Lead and support safety initiatives and good housekeeping practices

● Ensure all quality policies and procedures are followed throughout the company
