The Township is currently recruiting a Manager, Development Engineering. Reporting to the Director, Development Services, the Manager, Development Engineering is responsible for the overall review, approval and implementation of the development process (from an engineering perspective) in accordance with approved plans and the Township’s Development Standards from approval to assumption. Providing oversight and direction to the Township’s Engineering Consultant related to development application reviews, approvals, and inspections.

The Manager, Development Engineering must possess a strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure and civil engineering design and construction principles, practices, materials, techniques and standards, environmental compliance approvals, and subdivision/site plan examination and review methods, normally acquired though an an Advanced College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (or a related discipline).Membership with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) with the designation of a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) is required combined with 7 years relevant experiences at a senior level in a supervisory/management capacity of which 5 must be in a Municipal environment.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and foster an environment of empowerment, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement to align with the Township’s commitment to Public Service Excellence.
