The Engineering Manager leads and directs experienced professionals, lower level supervisors, or associate managers. Communicates within and outside of organization to explain and influence changes to policies, practices, or approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Establishes short-term operational plans with measurable contribution to function or business area results. Requires management and leadership knowledge in job area and comprehensive knowledge within professional discipline.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the groups and ensure all systems and software requirements are met on budget and on schedule;
• Ensure internal processes are followed by the team;
• Support business development in bid pursuits (demonstration, presentations, etc.);
• Responsible of any other administrative tasks related to the group (tracking, monitoring, etc.).
• Preparation of technology roadmap;
• Work closely with Deployment and Project Managers to ensure that staffing is sufficient to fulfill projects and R&D activities;
• Preparation of succession planning and career development;
• Support the proposal team in the preparation of the bid submissions;
• Integration of the various technologies used in the group;

Qualifications

• Demonstrate analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and capable of multitasking;
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent;
• Experience in Doors, JIRA, Zuken, Creo, Microsoft Office Suite, and Software development management tools.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience;
• Experience with Real-time/Embedded Environments;
• Strong organization skills, and teamwork and interpersonal skills;
• Experience with Naval Shipboard Communications design & development and Integration & Test, EMI/EMC, E3 Engineering, RF Engineering, Software & Hardware Engineering;
• Up-to-date on technologies related to CYBER, AI/ML, Application development for Windows/Linux and Android Platform, considered an asset;
