Engineering Manager At Thales:
You will be responsible for growing a high-performance team that excels in an Agile environment, quickly adapting to deliver a high quality product.
You lead and inspire engineers to perform their best by promoting a culture of opportunity, and recognition, where innovation naturally thrives. You are a skilled coach that builds relationships of trust proving timely feedback to your direct reports that guides their growth towards a fulfilling career and helps us maintain our #1 market share.
You remain focused on business priorities but are also passionate about reducing and eliminating technical debt. You know that building high quality products takes focused effort and time. You work with your teams to ensure that software is built with high quality from the start, it is maintainable and scalable, delighting our customers with every release. Key Responsibilities:

• Act as an agent of continuous improvement by championing areas of improvement, and setting up processes and performance indicators to drive better efficiency and collaboration.
• Contribute to the vision, goals, and technical strategy of your team in alignment with stakeholder needs and market opportunities.
• Manage and flag technical debt, providing input on roadmap to alleviate debt in future.
• Support the development and training of your reports through regular performance evaluations.
• Attract, excite and retain a successful and diverse team of engineers.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated history of hiring and building high performing teams
• Good verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively articulate technical vision, strategy, and outcomes.
• Experience in software design, security concepts and micro services.
• 5+ years expertise with C/C++
• Strong knowledge and experience in software development life cycle, agile methodology, and architectural principles.
• 5+ years of managing engineering teams and 10+ years of hands-on Software and firmware Engineering Experience.
• CI/CD (GIT, CI/CD, Jenkins)

Experience with any of the following will be considered an asset:

• Hardware device driver and kernel-level development.
• Cryptographic algorithms and protocols.
