Hardware Engineering Manager Jobs

Lead and manage a team of engineers, architects, and professionals involved in the giga factory construction project.

Manage and control project budgets, tracking costs, and making informed decisions to optimize resource allocation and ensure financial objectives are met.

Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services, materials, and equipment as per project requirements.

Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements, applying relevant knowledge to enhance project outcomes and drive innovation.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Professional engineering certification is an asset.

The ideal candidate Must have experience building and managing a budget of a minimum of 300MM Dollars.

5 years management experience is preferred.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional activities.

Develop and manage engineering teams and monitor and ensure compliance methods.

Determines feasibility of project by identifying and forecasting costs and requirements.

Maintains engineering database by developing information requirements; designing and information system.

Excellent understanding and hands-on knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering.

Minimum of 5 years of industry-related experience with at least 5 years of experience leading a team

Knowledge of best design practices to comply with different EMC standards

Extensive knowledge of components utilized in switch-mode power supply design

Agency compliance (UL, CSA, VDE, CE) experience

Experience in designing products for testability and manufacturability

Experience in designing microcontrollers to report and control power electronics

Prioritize work based on business needs, skillset match and resource loading; guide and train as required.

Prefer 8 or more years of related work experience in designing, developing and testing hardware.

Excellent communication skills, able to work well with customers and other staff, and able to coach and guide others.

- At least 7+ years of experience in tooling, die-casting or engineering within a manufacturing environment

- 5+ years of leadership experience. Experience managing direct reports is required

- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification preferred

Drive Product Development Plan (PDP) execution on new products in time-to-market and quality performance vs. prior year.

Ensure that the requirements of the health, safety and environment management system are implemented and maintained.

Demonstrated experience in a leadership position or management role.

Interview and select applicants on their technical qualifications and suitability for positions in the department when hiring new personnel.

Recommend and enforce design and engineering procedures and standard practices to comply with industry specific regulatory requirements.

Assess new technology to meet project requirements as authorized by the Director.

Assess workload, assign leads to engineering projects and oversee the completion according to specific deadlines and project schedules.
