Engineering Manager

This Role is Open to candidates Canada-wide who are interested in relocating to Montreal.
Introduction
Our client, a leading multi-billion dollar company, is embarking on an ambitious venture to construct a state-of-the-art giga factory. This facility will revolutionize our industry and redefine the way products are manufactured. Brunel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our client’s dynamic team.
As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of the giga factory construction project. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and professionals, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale industrial factory projects within the construction market.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of all engineering activities, ensuring compliance with project objectives, specifications, and industry standards.
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, architects, and professionals involved in the giga factory construction project.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to the project team, resolving complex engineering challenges and ensuring efficient execution of the construction project.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Manage and control project budgets, tracking costs, and making informed decisions to optimize resource allocation and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services, materials, and equipment as per project requirements.
- Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address issues, and monitor performance against key milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, regulatory, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle, promoting a culture of safety and compliance among the project team.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements, applying relevant knowledge to enhance project outcomes and drive innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Professional engineering certification is an asset.
- The Ideal candidate must have at least 5 to 10 years of experience managing greenfield projects.
- Must have experience with the construction of large facilities, plants, or factories for industries like food, manufacturing, health care, mining, and oil and gas or renewable energy.
- The ideal candidate Must have experience building and managing a budget of a minimum of 300MM Dollars.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale industrial Factory/Facilities projects.
- Must be able to relocate to Montreal and travel to the site.
- Must have experience with the concept design adaptation to Canadian Standards.
- Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience as an Engineer Manager, managing multidisciplinary teams, functional engineering teams, and building engineering departments.
