Civil Engineering Project Manager

You will have to:

• Be in charge of a design team;

• Design municipal engineering works such as roads, sewer and water systems, storm and sanitary drainage

systems, parking lots, construction of new streets, etc.;

• Supervise the work of engineers, technicians, and draftsmen, review and approve design work, hydraulic

calculations, and cost estimates;

• Perform technical coordination with clients;

• Ensure the supervision, and technical management of projects during the construction phase;

• Participate in site meetings;

• Contribute to the planning, organization, and evaluation of the team's work;

• Prepare and monitor project budgets and schedules;

• Organize and lead various technical meetings with clients and contractors;

• Fulfill any other employment-related duties.

The ideal profile has the following characteristics:

• Must have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering;

• Must hold a permit to practice the profession of engineer with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec

(OIQ) for at least 5 years;

• Experience as a municipal engineering project manager in design and monitoring;

• Excellent knowledge of the standards and codes applicable in Québec;

• Possess the ASP certificate (general health and safety course on construction sites);

• Have the ability to represent the company well to its customers;

• Be a good communicator;

• Ability to monitor multiple projects simultaneously and work in a team;

• Experience in managing major projects in busy urban areas with high technical content (an asset)

• Experience in stormwater management;

• Experience in infrastructure, layout, lighting, traffic lights, traffic maintenance, etc;

• Excellent spoken and written French, English an asset;

• Knowledge of PCSWMM software;

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
