Purpose of the job


To support the Engineering Supervisor in executing Projects within the Engineering Department in accordance to cGMP, Jubilant and Industry STD and reporting overall performance improvements.


Essential Functions


  • Manage all design modifications and expansions within operations and ensure that all design documentation meets validation and quality assurance standards.
  • Oversee all purchasing of required spare parts for the store following a project completion.
  • Identify and resolve issues impacting the Operations and Building as well as perform risk assessments.
  • Implement new technologies that would reduce lead times and setup requirements.
  • Delivery of projects on time, meeting budgets and quality standards.
  • Develop document, perform and execute decommissioning activities.
  • Share knowledge and best practice with project team and other site teams.
  • Purchase, install and commission new equipment throughout operations.
  • Develop schedules and budgets for capital improvement project.
  • Supervise the work of outside contractors on installation assignments.
  • Develop user requirement specifications for equipment based on operational needs.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance personnel, production group and assists in troubleshooting problems as required.
  • Provide monthly reports.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Management.
  • Manage, plan and implement, in collaboration with the different departments, the installation or modification of equipment(s) or building utilities.
  • Work very closely with Maintenance, Commercial, QA, QC, PDS and Operations departments.
  • Support new product introduction in regards to engineering activities.

  • Encourage safe work practices and behaviors
  • Responsible for the application and respect of health and safety rules and regulations by his contractors


Education, Experience, And Qualifications


  • Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Automation)
  • Member of OIQ
  • Strong project management experience 5 years


Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities


  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including written (reports, schedules, etc.); verbal (contractors, suppliers, union employees) and facilitation (employee training).
  • Good knowledge of GMP in Pharma environment and of Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Bilingual
  • Proficient computer skills including word processing, project management software, Microsoft office
  • Ability to multi-task.
