Responsibilities
As an Engineering Project Manager / Project Coordinator, your job will be to:
  • Coordinate and report on the progress of all project deliverables as defined in the PAP (Project Assurance Plan).
  • Communicate to your team general organizational information and details relevant to their work;
  • Take over some global responsibilities of the engineering department and manage processes in a matrix context.
  • Ensure technical follow-up of assigned projects in multi-sector teams. Provide guidance and assistance in resolving issues;
  • Communicate the technical progress of projects to the resources concerned;
  • Estimate the effort required per project, and communicate and maintain the required information on project progress;
  • Ensure the progress of technical follow-ups (including non-conformities) with suppliers with the purchasing representative and also with the supplier quality assurance representative;
  • Follow up with customers when required;
  • Contribute to the development of a high-performance team. Ensure open and honest communication with colleagues;
  • Identify improvement opportunities for team members;
  • Communicate technical progress of projects to project resources; * Communicate progress of projects asResponsible to various discussion forums, as required.
  • Develop and evolve ways of doing things to improve efficiency. Uses Lean as a tool for continuous improvement;
  • Work closely with engineering managers to secure the progress of your projects with the resources involved; * Translate customer requirements into development projects.
  • Be involved in the evolution of project management and coach new engineering project managers as needed;
Qualifications
You will have:
  • Experience in project planning and/or estimating in mechanical and electrical engineering (Asset)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • BILINGUAL
  • 5 to 10 years' experience in team or project management in product development
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering in a relevant discipline
  • MBA (Asset)
