Engineering Manager- Canada Jobs

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across business teams, discussing requirements with solution architects, product managers, and client stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and client stakeholders.
• Coordinate and contribute to the prioritization of projects and activities within the team.
• Oversee and manage a focused engineering and development team, and guide activities related to development and delivery.
• Have an active role in overall solution design, review, and implementation.
• Partner with product managers to create roadmaps for delivery, measure progress on roadmaps, and hold teams accountable to deadlines.
• Be a thought leader and trusted voice among your team for making diligent architectural and operational decisions.
• Instill a culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability.
• Manage the entire product life cycle of an engagement/idea from strategic planning to tactical execution.

Experience

• Hands-on experience building front-end applications (React, iOS, and Android).
• 6+ years of experience leading teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong team building, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Experience in backend technologies such as Java, Python, Node, etc.
• 10+ years of hands-on technical experience.
• Demonstrated success influencing senior level stakeholders on strategic direction based on recommendations backed by in-depth analysis.
• Proven track record of technical leadership and successful delivery on large and complex projects.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
• 10+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and/or infrastructures across platforms and open-source technologies.
• Experience working with and leading teams across internationally dispersed locations.
• Experience with Agile project management.
• Experience architecting and designing solutions on the cloud such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Broad technology experience, not limited to cloud architecture, application development, relational databases, NoSQL databases, containers, serverless, management and monitoring.
