As part of a dynamic multi-disciplined team, your job will be to support the development of new embedded systems products, and to enhance our existing products.

What do we need from you? The Electronic Engineering Technologist is responsible for all aspects of product design verification testing and qualification; you must be resourceful and able to overcome new challenges using your skills coupled with innovative approaches. In a nutshell, we need your sharp expertise to help verify new embedded products, implement product enhancements and contribute to process improvements.

Your Challenge

• Contribute to the release of manufacturing technical data packages for products.
• Champion test automation for embedded products.
• Keep current with embedded hardware trends and share knowledge.
• Debug and Test new embedded products at the forefront of technology.
• Generate complete and accurate user and design documentation.
• Support and enhance existing embedded products.
• Provide input and evaluation of new technologies and products.
• Apply established development processes and assist in process improvements.
• Participate in maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere within the team.

Skills Required

• Be a driven and motivated self-starter with a keen interest to learn
• Strong debug and problem-solving skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility, commitment to quality and achieving deadlines
• Experience in test automation with Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of electronics and engineering principals and application to real world use
• Results-oriented team player who leads by example, holds themselves accountable for performance, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and champions process improvement initiatives

Education/Experience

• Familiar with a product development process
• Completion of a Computer Systems Technology or Electronic Technologist Program
• Familiarity with principles of high-speed digital circuit board design including signal integrity concepts.
• Experience/familiarity in the following is an asset:
• Experience with CAD tools and/or test automation.
• Familiar with hardware test equipment -- logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Experience with electronics soldering.
• Experience working with a multi-disciplined team
• Hobby projects with Raspberry Pi and/or Arduino
• Experience in basic electronics, electronics testing & debugging.
• 5+ years Board level development and hands on lab experience (CO-OP Experience is applicable)
