Job Description

The Civil Engineering Technician will be responsible producing engineering plans in residential and commercial projects. They will have a strong background in engineering and design, a great understanding of the construction process, and possess excellent communication skills. Working on projects from inception to completion, the Engineering Technician must be self-driven, motivated, and able to work with confidence through every stage of project. They will be working directly with the client and the rest of the team to create architectural designs and permit drawing packages


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce engineering plans for various styles of construction for residential and commercial projects.
  • Process survey data and 3D scans to create full permit drawing packages
  • Work with the client or contractor directly to meet design expectations.
  • Work with the engineering, surveying, and planning teams to coordinate multi-disciplinary projects.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Interested in construction and engineering.
  • Technical drawing and drafting experience with AutoCAD & Civil3d required.
  • Civil Engineering Technologist or Civil Engineering Technican Diploma
  • Experience putting together drawing packages for site plan approval and construction
  • Experience with Sketchup and Layout an asset.


WORK ARRANGEMENT

Our office is fully remote capable and we offer that flexibility to our team members. It is expected you will work in the office for the first 6 months to 1 year and then a hybrid work arrangement will be permitted


RENUMERATION

37.5 hour work week with flexible hours

Annual Salary of $60,000 to $80,000 depending on experience

Benefits after 3 months.


LOCATION

Our office is located in Brockville, Ontario in South-Eastern Ontario. It is 45 minutes to Kingston and Ottawa and offers an affordable lifestyle in a rural setting. The applicant will be required to re-locate to the area and work on location for at least the first 6 months.
