Responsibilities

• Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering
• Contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions
• Identify and report changes to project scope
• Coordinate/Communicate with other disciplines
• Deliver electrical engineering services that meet Worley, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget
• Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Worley Quality Assurance system
• Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team, GID (Global Integrated Delivery) team and project stakeholders, including the customer
• Familiarity of applicable codes to support engineering deliverables
• Perform electrical design services such as:
• Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required
• Ability to interpret client specifications.
• Assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports

What You Will Bring

Technical and Industry Experience:

• Engineering experience in the same or similar industry
• Team player, with excellent organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Minimum 5 - 10 years of relevant experience
• Competent use of electrical engineering specific software and relevant software such as MS Office Suite
• A working knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications
• Ability to develop detailed drawings for lighting; small power and earthing systems; HV/LV single line diagrams; wiring and control schematic diagram; AC/DC distribution panels, process area electrical equipment layouts, substation and switchyard layouts, cable tray, above grade and underground cable layouts, ductbank sizing and layouts, preparation of installation details, grounding plans, lightning layouts
• Experience with SPEL, AutoCAD and Microstation design software packages, AVEVA 2D/3D is a plus
• Cable schedules, cable pulling calculations, cable tray sizing calculations, cable selection & sizing calculations
• Sound technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers

Required

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

• A Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Design / Drafting from an accredited institution
