We are seeking an exceptional Electrical Engineer with 5-10+ years of construction building design experience in Canada to join our team. Our projects encompass small-scale commercial work as well as mid to large-scale educational, hospitality, and civic facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure high-quality engineering deliverables and proper execution of design concepts by Designers.
• Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
• Oversee single or multi-discipline design projects, acting as the primary point of contact with client project managers for scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Mentor and encourage the development of Designer level staff.
• Attend client meetings and deliver presentations.
• Prepare studies and reports on electrical system work.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and execute all required aspects of discipline engineering.
• Conduct site visits for surveys, prepare reports, and address technical issues with the project manager.
• Collaborate with internal and external project teams for proper coordination of documents and processes.
• Lead the design team in developing the Basis of Design (BOD), Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), and Construction Documents (CD) within project schedules and budgets, adhering to best practices.

Your Experience:

• Registered Professional Engineer.
• 5-10 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Experience in working independently to manage deadlines and coordinate with team members
• Ability to integrate design elements with architectural, civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, AGi32 Software, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office programs.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree.
• Skilled production of presentation & working drawings.
• LEED certification/experience in sustainable design (LEED projects) is an asset.
• Familiarity with REVIT MEP is desired.
• Knowledgeable in relevant Codes and Standards, including Canadian Electrical Code, National Building Code of Canada, P rovincial Building Code, Electrical Utility Code, NFPA standards, CSA/ULC standards, IESNA, IEEE, C282 Emergency Generators, S-524 Fire Alarms, etc.

We offer a full time (37.5 hr/week), permanent position, competitive salary and full benefits package commensurate with experience. Additionally, a moving expense stipend can be provided by the client.
