Key Job Elements and Responsibilities:

• Areas of focus (expertise on as many areas as possible preferred): automotive power generation, storage and distribution, automotive controls of electro-mechanical systems, automotive internal and external lights selection and integration, power and data controllers, wiring harness designs including specialty signals types (CANBUS, Ethernet, etc.), vehicle schematic development, alternating current devices (inverters, battery chargers, AV receptacles)
• Complete component level design tasks while keeping supervisor regularly inform on progress and issues encountered. Ensure all designs are peer reviewed by technical lead or assigned mentor.

• Support test planning, execution, and reporting as assigned and under supervision of test lead.
• Support quality and Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) related activities as requested.

• Provide status to supervisor on progress of tasks.

Responsibilities
Required Qualifications:

• University degree or College Diploma in relevant engineering discipline.
• Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space
• Superior oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Project Management experience.
• Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
• 3 to 5 years relevant engineering experience.

Qualifications
Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620D, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
• Eng. or ability to obtain PEng designation
• Proficient with processes and products
• Expertise in harness design tools such as Siemens’ Capital Enterprise suite or Zuken
• Ability to understand and review to company drawing standards.
