POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Quality, Engineering and Assembly/Production Manager, you will have the opportunity to produce complex lighting assemblies in accordance with customer requirements. You will develop and implement Quality and Engineering processes across all channels of distribution that will increase customer satisfaction, reduce overall costs, quality improvements and deliver growth.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:

• Review existing quality levels for effectiveness and make recommendations for changes or improvements
• Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities
• Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects
• Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials
• Supervising or training project team members
• Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes
• Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps
• Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies
• Working with a variety of technicians
• Maintaining electrical equipment
• Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment
• Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation
• Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
• Must be highly motived and inspire others and the team to do the same
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design and engineering
• A proven ability to working in a fast paced rapidly changing environment, must be agile, adaptable and project the highest level of integrity
• Knowledge of ERP systems, specifically Navision
• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering and a combination of work experience
• Electrical assembly knowledge experience considered an asset
• Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
