Automation/Controls Engineer Jobs

The Controls Engineer position plays a pivotal role in plant operations, in ensuring that our plant creates the best products possible in the most efficient manner. This position works with a variety of departments as well as externally to create and implement processes to increase the plant’s efficiency.

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Understand process control issues and develop control solutions to enhance process
• Work with the Quality department to confirm effectiveness of testing sequences
• Extend start up support and training for new part types or features
• Program and debug automation cells
• Modify existing automation to add new part types or features
• Trouble shoot production machines, automation cells, and control systems issues
• Develop and document new PLC control systems from concept to qualification

Qualifications/Skills:

Successful candidate will require the following skills/experience:

• Experience with and good understanding of vision systems - Keyence, Fanuc iRVision
• Intermediate knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley)
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics & Automation, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with Allen Bradley Factory Talk
• Intermediate knowledge in robot programming (Fanuc)
• Experience with RS Logix software
