Assist with construction and renovation project management

Currently enrolled in a university cooperative education program

3rd or 4th-year Mechanical, Biosystems, or Industrial engineering education

Experience in food processing or agriculture is an asset

Experience in leading the implementation of Lean initiatives as an asset

Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Perform project management: project definition, feasibility study, budget, planning, organization, communication and follow-up of activities with the different teams.

Manage safety, maintenance and projects for production parts storage systems

Experience in plant and store layout, handling vehicles, storage system

Good knowledge of spoken and written English.

User Training: Conduct end user training on warehouse management system application functionality, optimal processes and best practices.

Knowledge of VBA and or Microsoft Access competency required

MOST certification/understanding is an asset

SQL knowledge is an asset

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Experience identifying process improvement, areas for optimization and cost reduction

Experience performing industrial time studies (considered an asset)

YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

Working on process improvement initiatives to improve productivity.

Performing Industrial Time Studies and interact with shop floor workers.

Communication skills are key, must give clear and accurate direction to all team members and management, speak confidently.

Work directly with hourly personnel, engineering and all levels of company management.

Develop in depth product knowledge to set up Operations for New Model Vehicle Launch

Manage extensive complexity and organize Assembly Processes into an efficient Cycle Line Layout

Experience conducting time studies in a manufacturing environment.

Possess basic computer skills (Word/Excel/Outlook) and can document and communicate effectively.

Drive Schedule reviews meetings with upper management.

You have an analytical mind and are comfortable presenting to senior management.

You have at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Characterize planned and unplanned work (NCR, BOI, Snags, Workbooks) - duration, zone, jobs activities, sequence, milestones.

Support Manufacturing Leaders to achieve daily targets

Monitor daily manufacturing issues to secure production schedule (Shortage, disposition and documentation follow-up reviews)
