Our Opportunity

Reporting to the Lead, Global Benefits, this position is responsible for benefits administration and employee retirement, health & welfare programs globally, with a primary focus on Canada. Duties include the management of open enrollment activities, leading implementation of new initiatives, overseeing communication process and delivery, ensuring administrative practices are in-line with applicable laws and company policies. This position will help identify opportunities for program design improvements and efficiencies whilst making sure that the benefits packages remain competitive, employee focused, and cost effective.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Administer CA and International annual renewals, strategy implementation, and special projects to assist the Lead of Global Benefits
• Collaborate with the benefits administration team in handling complicated/sensitive employee benefit-related issues including coordinating with vendors to reach appropriate resolution
• Account for the development, maintenance, and delivery of new hire orientation meetings, ensuring effective communications of benefit programs for new employees
• Other duties as assigned to support the global benefits team
• Collaborate with People Business Partners, Accounting and Legal functions
• Manage the Canadian annual enrollment process including set-up, communications, vendor preparation
• Mentor and develop Sr Analyst in the management of CA benefits administration and related vendor management
• Manage ad hoc benefits reporting in support of strategic management initiatives, plan design change options, carrier/provider changes, surveys, census or reporting to outside vendors
• Lead implementation of new vendors, plans and plan changes by managing system testing/implementation process, designing, and conducting training sessions and documenting any processes or audits required
• Project manage all compliance related reporting
• Maintain the benefits-related content on the company intranet

Required Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
• Ability to identify data needs and develop and support process improvements
• Demonstrated ability to effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Workday Benefits Administration and Payroll experience desired
• Strong MS Excel skills for data analysis and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Canada benefits management
