The opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, People Services, you will be responsible for the supervision and hands-on delivery of payroll, benefits, and pension services.

• Prepare various letters related to employment
• Month and year end reconciliation of payroll and benefit accounts
• Serves as backup for other roles on the People & Culture team
• Ensure legislative compliance and process government remittances
• Ensure managers and supervisors are trained in time & attendance system

Are you the right fit?

• Strong communication and time management skills
• Expertise in provincial payroll and Employment Standards regulations
• Thorough understanding of total compensation programs
• Strong database management and report writing skills
• Strong customer service orientation

What else do you need?

• Experience supervising a team is an asset
• Minimum 5’ years experiences administering group insurance and pension plans
• Experience with time & attendance systems is an asset
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with full cycle payroll (T4s, PIER reports etc.)
• Canadian Payroll Manager (CPM) certification, experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirements
• Experience with UGK is an asset
