Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Staffing Assistant in Windsor, ON. This is a full-time position that operates from Monday to Friday.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Resume Screening: Review resumes and applications to assess candidate qualifications and suitability for the role. Conduct initial screenings to shortlist candidates for further evaluation.
  • Communication and Correspondence: Serve as a point of contact for candidates, responding to their inquiries, providing updates on their application status, and guiding them through the recruitment process.
  • Reference and Background Checks: Conduct reference checks and background screenings for selected candidates, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers. Ensure that all necessary arrangements are made, such as booking interview rooms, sending interview invitations, and providing relevant interview materials.
  • Administrative Support: Answer, screen, and direct all incoming phone calls or take detailed messages. Offer spirited and enthusiastic support to all office visitors.
  • Applicant Tracking: Maintain and update applicant tracking systems or databases with accurate candidate information, application status, and interview feedback.
  • Recruitment Support: Provide general administrative support to the Recruitment team, including maintaining recruitment files, preparing offer letters, coordinating pre-employment paperwork, and assisting with onboarding activities.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various channels, such as job boards, social media, and professional networks, to identify and attract potential candidates for open positions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • College Diploma in Human Resources or related field is a requirement.
  • French language skills are an asset, but not a requirement.
  • Understanding of basic HR practices and employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Previous experience in recruitment, HR, or administrative roles is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Job Type: Full-time Permanent

Wage: $15.50 - $18
