Overview A Staffing Specialist is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for open positions within an organization. They are also responsible for managing the onboarding process and ensuring that new hires are properly trained and integrated into the organization. Detailed Job Description A Staffing Specialist is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to onboarding and training new hires. They must have a thorough understanding of the organization’s hiring needs and be able to identify qualified candidates for open positions. They must also be able to assess candidates’ skills and qualifications to ensure that they are a good fit for the organization. In addition, the Staffing Specialist must be able to develop and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies and other sources of potential candidates. Job Skills Required• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assess candidates’ qualifications and skills
• Knowledge of recruitment and selection processes
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies
• Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
• Ability to manage the onboarding process
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least two years of experience in recruitment and selection
• Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g. SHRM-CP or PHR)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of recruitment and selection processes
• Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
• Knowledge of applicant tracking systems
• Knowledge of best practices in recruitment and selection
Job Experience
• At least two years of experience in recruitment and selection
• Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with external recruitment agencies
• Experience in managing the onboarding process
Job Responsibilities
• Source and screen candidates for open positions
• Assess candidates’ qualifications and skills
• Develop and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies
• Manage the onboarding process for new hires
• Ensure that new hires are properly trained and integrated into the organization
• Monitor and report on recruitment and selection activities
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
