About The Job
The Manager, Staffing Services is responsible and accountable for the leadership, planning, implementation, and evaluation of strategic initiatives that support the development and sustainability of optimal scheduling and timekeeping practices across Interior Health (IH). The Manager oversees all aspects of planning and directing the day to day activities of the designated Staffing Services Centre, including the direct management of human and capital resources. This position promotes teamwork, professional development, accountability, and customer focused services. The Manager ensures services across all programs are delivered in an effective and efficient manner in order to meet operational requirements by implementing and evaluating key quality indicators, developing business improvement plans, and partnering with clinical leadership to ensure customer needs are met.
This position collaborates with other Staffing Services Managers to ensure the development and application of departmental policies and processes are consistent across all Staffing Services Centres and comply with professional, legal, contractual, and IH standards. The Manager works collaboratively with partner departments, such as Payroll, Finance, and Human Resources, in order to identify issues and implement mutually beneficial solutions within the delivery of Staffing Services. The Manager develops and fosters collaborative relationships with vendors as well as key external partners to implement new systems and processes that enhance Staffing Services functions, including increasing the effectiveness of relief pools, reducing scheduling inefficiencies, and enhancing opportunities for innovative solutions that improve the employee experience. External partners include provincial strategy planning groups, systems providers, other health authorities, and provincial union representatives. The Manger represents IH Staffing Services with HEABC, Unions, and the Provincial Scheduling Managers committee to support a consistent and efficient response to staffing needs across the organization.
