Senior Architect [Administrative Staffing]

Reporting to the VP of Architecture and working alongside a team of talented professionals, collaborating on every aspect of the design process, you'll use cutting-edge technologies to bring your vision to life while being an innovative and forward-thinking team player.

Key Responsibilities For The Job

• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Design safe, cost effective and efficient building layouts
• Coordinate and manage activities relating to various projects
• Lead project teams in resolving issues and removing roadblocks
• Complete project designs on schedule and within budget
• Assist with proposals and marketing as needed
• Ensuring safety standards across building codes, clients standards, and internal policies

Experience & Attributes For Success

• Registered member of the NS Association of Architects (NSAA) or meet the requirements to become a member
• Candidates must be able to obtain Secret Status through CISD as a requirement for employment in this role
• Strong business skills and risk management
• Strong initiative and problem solving skills
• Minimum 8 years' hands-on experience
• Highly professional with the ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making
• Experience and efficiency in working with client stakeholders and negotiating contracts
• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Environmental Design
• Strong technical skills and well-rounded knowledge of the construction industry and engineering principles
