The Import/Export Coordinator will be responsible for the end-to-end process – receiving orders, coordinating shipment, documentation, invoicing, and billing customers. Experience in handling shipments of alcoholic beverages would be considered an asset.
French language skills an asset.
Responsibilities
Partner with customers, vendors, and internal groups to build a solid working relationship
Work with pricing department to ensure all parties are aligned
Work with worldwide ocean shipments, including all geographies and multiple customers across the world
Provide professional, prompt and efficient customer service to all clients
Ensure files are completed and updated in accordance with corporate requirements
Complete thorough research for client requests to provide most advantageous solutions based on client’s service and cost needs
Work diligently to ensure quotation deadlines and shipment requirements are met
Monitor shipments and respond to inquiries from clients, in a timely manner
Resolve client customer service issues promptly and professionally
Support and manage ongoing vendor and partner relationships
Ensure the proper documentation is provided for the alcoholic beverage industry
Partner with global offices as needed
Experience, Qualifications & Attributes
Minimum 3 years of experience with an international freight forwarding company
Hands-on knowledge of ocean import and export procedures
Customer service mindset and ability to manage all stages of the shipping process
Excellent English language communication skills (both oral and written)
Preference for working in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize in a fast-paced growth environment
High level of critical and logical thinking analysis and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
Ability to build positive professional relationships and work collaboratively with functional and operational employees at all levels of the organization
Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
