Job Description
Do you enjoy taking charge of warehouse supply activities, managing a small team and have a very good knowledge of building materials? If so, keep reading. My client is a large, well-established construction and disaster recovery company near Montreal North. The company has been around for over 40 years. They are more than 70 employees in 2 divisions. He is looking for an organized Supply Operations Coordinator to manage three drivers and one warehouse worker. Good friendly working environment.   • Any other related tasks
  • Animate the employees at the beginning of the shift and manage the health and safety of the premises.
  • Update team planning on Excel and build management tools to ensure the proper functioning of logistics and supply on a daily basis
  • Ensure the profitability of the costs of purchases of materials and equipment.
  • Prepare and present to his immediate superior reports of the analysis and performance of the department every 3 months
  • Rent equipment to be sent to construction sites
  • Foster a positive work climate and support the department's objectives.
  • Continuous improvement of processes and manage the return of goods.
  • Quotation of prices with suppliers for construction materials and equipment to ensure good quality/price.
  • Order materials for construction sites.
  • Optimize the movements of drivers and deliveries
  • Mobilize, empower and support team members.
  • Evaluate employee performance and take disciplinary action as needed.
  • Proposing training to strengthen the skills of the team.
  • Plan and distribute the tasks of a warehouse employee and three drivers.
  • Validate the quality of work and correct discrepancies.
Qualifications
  • Possess a driving license
  • Autonomous
  • Very good knowledge of construction materials in the building industry
  • Experience in managing a small team of 4 people.
  • Able to manage experienced employees by leaving them autonomous.
  • Good sense of priorities
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Internet research to order materials.
  • 3 years and more of experience in supply and personnel management (an asset)
  • Social ability to discuss and meet employees to improve points or to congratulate.
  • DEP related to construction (an asset, but not mandatory).
  • Highly organized, leadership, good ability to solve problems.
