Import And Sourcing Manager

Title: Import Senior Manager

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Compensation and Benefits: 150,000 - 170,000 CAD, depending on experience + benefits

This position is only open to residents of Canada who have legal work authorization.

About our client who is hiring for this position:

Evlv is currently working with a local fashion company in Montreal that has an immediate requirement for a Senior Import Manager

Responsibilities

-Take responsibility and Evaluate the quality of work of the department staff members.

-Ensure all orders are expedited to vendors n a timely manner

-Represent the production staff in interdepartmental meetings with Sales QC and Logistics

-Follow up with production meetings weekly to address problem cases

-Make decisions on production schedules & discounts with overseas suppliers.

-Negotiate prices and finalize orders with the team

Required

-10 years of importing from China with knowledge of China's exporting procedure

-Knowledge of the entire product cycle of woven garments, from raw material buying to finished goods labelling.

-Knowledge of various industry-accepted testing requirements as well as various retailer requirements.

-Momentis ERP knowledge is an asset

-wholesaler experience is an asset
