Logistics Coordinator

Our client a growing 3PL is searching for a 3PL Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Lachine

Responsibilities:

Negotiate freight rates with suppliers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL

• Preform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Trace orders and provide customers with proactive information
• Respond quickly to spot quotes
• Source new carrier / supplier partners
• Ensure TMS contains current and complete data, as well as close orders in real time
• Grow and maintain existing supplier and customer relationships
• Manage and coordinate daily shipments with carriers and customers
• Proactively follow up on delivery delays or security issues
• Be available after hours to assist with resolving issues

Qualifications:

• Strong communication, customer service and computer skills
• Ability to build rapport with both suppliers and customers
• Minimum 2 years logistics or dispatch experience in the transportation industry
• Ability to effectively handle multiple conflicting priorities
• Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task within a team environment
• Bilingual, English and French
• Ability to make quick decisions
• Experience in cross border shipping, full-truckload as well as less-than-truckload
